Named after the first owner of this pen, who happens to be from an island nation. The featured pen is made from Sheesham wood, also known as Indian Rosewood and hand finished with a layer or two of shellac and walnut oil.
Islander pens are made from locally available Rosewood or Teakwood in India. This type of wood is commonly used for making rolling pins, used in everyday kitchens across the country. Fosfor pens also uses these rolling pins as the source of wood, which makes it more fun and exciting to make the pen. It also helps while turning it on a lathe.
Exotic burl woods are also available. These are some of the rare burls that provide a very rich look.
